What if my kids won’t pay attention for that long?

That’s totally normal—and honestly, expected. Sessions are booked for up to 60 minutes, but that doesn’t mean your child needs to be “on” the whole time. These aren’t stiff, pose-and-smile sessions. We keep things moving, play a little, follow their lead, and focus on genuine moments. No pressure, no forced smiles—just real connection at their pace.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Florida weather can change fast—but we build flexibility into every session. If it looks like rain, storms, or lightning ahead of your shoot, we’ll be in touch with options: rescheduling, moving to a covered location (like Gaylord Palms—just note they charge for parking), your AirBNB or Resort Room, or shifting indoors if that fits the vibe. This is why we always recommend morning sessions—especially for beach sessions. The light is cleaner, skies are typically clearer, and the chance of storms is significantly lower. It’s hands-down the best time of day for both lighting and weather. That said, I’m a photographer—not a meteorologist. We do our best with the forecast, but some things are out of our control. If we can’t reschedule right away, your session credit can be transferred to a new date within 12–18 months, based on availability. All retainers are non-refundable, regardless of weather conditions—except in the case of a named hurricane. Your retainer secures your session on our calendar and removes that slot from availability. We’ll always work with you to find a solution such as rescheduling.

What’s the best time of day for photos?

Early morning. Period. We aim for about 15 minutes before sunrise for beach sessions and slightly after sunrise for inland locations. The light is clean, the weather is cooler, and there’s way less chaos. Evening sessions happen about 30–45 minutes before sunset depending on the collection you choose.

Do I get to pick which images go in my gallery?

We actually handle that part for you. After your session, we go through everything and carefully select the strongest images—no duplicates, no weird faces, just the good stuff. You’ll get all the final images that meet our quality standards, fully edited in both color and black & white. That way, your gallery feels complete without you having to make a single decision.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. We offer flexible, no-interest payment plans for session balances. If you'd prefer to split your payment ahead of your session, just let us know at booking and we’ll set it up.

Will my photographer be Michelle?

If you’re in Central Florida, it’s definitely possible—but not guaranteed. Every Collective photographer is trained to shoot the way Michelle does, so you’re in good hands either way. Michelle oversees all editing, communication, and gallery delivery to make sure everything stays consistent with the experience and style we’re known for.

Do I have to sign a contract?

Yes—every session is confirmed with a signed contract and a non-refundable retainer. The contract lays out all the important details in writing: what’s included, what’s expected from both sides, when payments are due, how cancellations are handled, and what happens if weather or unforeseen events come up. It’s there to protect both of us and ensure we’re on the same page from the start. No surprises, no misunderstandings—just a clear agreement that reflects the level of professionalism you can expect from the entire experience.

Do you offer NDAs for families, public figures or high-profile clients?

Absolutely. If privacy is a concern—whether you’re a public figure, celebrity, or just someone who values discretion—we’re happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before your session. We’ve worked with high-profile and those who just love to be off the internet, and privacy is always respected, whether an NDA is in place or not. Just let us know at the time of booking, and we’ll make sure your contract reflects your privacy preferences.
