In December, I had the privilege of shooting Nick & Briana’s wedding at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion and last week, I simply LOVED meeting this family while they visited the resort for their annual family vacation. And to make the vacation even sweeter, they we’re celebrating some young men turning 5 and 2 in August! 😉
Kristy contacted me about her family vacation about a month prior to their visit and she was super excited to get here, enjoy some good family time and celebrate her boys birthdays! She expressed that she would love some great shots of her boys as well as some as a family and just capture how much love they have for each other. And I have to say that I don’t think I’ve ever met such a smiley family 🙂
One thing about Disneys Grand Floridian at the Walt Disney World is their landscaping is ON POINT and makes for some gorgeous images! I have a hard time keeping the trees in my yard alive but the guys who maintain the property are truly gifted!
I think one of the easiest things to do during a family vacation is to schedule family portraits. Hear me out…With so many of my local families, their biggest hurdle while trying to schedule family portraits is actually coordinating everyone’s schedules. Between work and school and extra curricular activities, it can be super difficult to plan. But if you’re on a family vacation, they hard part is already done! You’re all together and you all pretty much have the same schedule!
Most of my families traveling to the Orlando area, schedule their session at their resort. You really can’t get any easier! Plus, the kids usually are familiar with the grounds at that point and that makes them more comfortable.
Resort locations like Disneys Grand Floridian, Disney’s Beach Resort, Bonnet Creek and Gaylord Palms have breathtaking grounds as well as some beautiful indoor locations too if the weather isn’t ideal!
