Apparently, it's nice to know a bit about your photographer before hiring them to photograph the most important aspects of your life. Who knew? :)
I am a follower of Jesus. He's the reason I get to do this. He's the reason I have the tools and the ability. It's nothing I've done. It's all He's done
One of the greatest joys in life is laughing. I love to laugh and joke until it's hard to breathe. :)
At times, I have been known to jump up off the couch, pack up the kids for the day and go to Disney. We don't live far from it (about 20 mins) and have an annual pass so why not?
My favorite movie EVER is Mary Poppins
My journey with photography began in high school but took off after I had my 2nd daughter, Lily.
After all these years, my favorite images in any wedding, family session etc. are ALWAYS the "in betweens"
100973628% of my joy when it comes to parenting, generates from embarrassing my children. I'm good at it and I'm not afraid to do it.
So, I'm Michelle Coombs, an Orlando photographer with over 11 years of professional experience!
I was born and raised in Cape May, NJ. The proof is in my big, New Jersey hair ;) Think Martha's Vineyard except in NJ. Beautiful beaches, gazillions of Victorian era homes, tons of history. In 2016, myself, husband and 3 daughters ages 18 (I can't believe I have an adult child), 9 and 7 relocated to Sorrento, Florida. We're completely loving it here. How could one not? Beautiful weather practically year round, amazing beaches close by in Daytona and St. Petersburg and Disney World is just a hop, skip and jump away. What's not to love?
Only after photographing a few dozen weddings and family sessions and getting some feedback, did I realize that my couples and families were raving over the "in between" images they received as much as the more posed images. Getting feedback from brides saying "She captures those moments, you would miss in a blink of an eye. She did our wedding, and she delivered above and beyond professionalism, ideas, and candid photos that I will always cherish. She is honest, direct, who I would rate as 10 plus!"...THOSE are the things that I take pride in
My people...sometimes I don't understand just how I got so lucky. And I also don't understand how my husband deals with a house full of chicks...must be a saint ;)
These are the people who push me every single day to keep moving forward. Despite the obstacles, headaches, creative blocks, they keep me going.
I LOVE them beyond the moon!
